Happy Birthday Nanna!!!

Happy Birthday! Eli wanted to draw you a picture too.
Here are some memories I have of Laurie during the past 3 years. I can’t believe it has been that long. Time flies!

Talks:
I always love talking with Laurie. That is why I call her so often. Some of my favorite times with her have been talking in the living room about motherhood, the joys of teaching, and times when we have both learned and gained testimonies of important truths.

80s Mystery Dinner:
I really appreciated how Laurie not only went WAY out of her comfort zone to do the mystery dinner, but she was also quite the performer. It was truly hilarious (in a good way) to see how she took on the character. Thanks for making it so fun, Laurie!

Baby Eli:
I remember how lucky I felt to have Laurie as a mother-in-law when she brought us dinners to freeze after Eli was born. She also remembered our anniversary and brought us some paper gifts that really came in handy. It was a rough recovery and adjustment for me, and I don’t know if I could have made it without those meals and paper plates.

Eli also appreciates her many shopping sprees on his behalf. He is one of the best dressed babies around, and he is lucky to have such a loving Nana.

Welcoming:
I remember the first time that I went to dinner at the Bylund’s. I was really nervous; because, let’s be honest, I acted kind of wishy washy with Jeff for a really long time while we were dating. On my way over there, I thought, “If I were these people, I would think I was mean; and I would not want my son to be dating me.” Luckily, Laurie was really nice and welcoming. She made me feel right at home, as did everyone else. She has continued to do so, which is one of my favorite things about her. Thanks for welcoming me into your family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
